Dangerously Delicious

It’s always a treat to work with comedians – but in this case it’s extra fun as Aziz is one of our favorites. Aziz commissioned us to create posters for the New York and DC shows of his upcoming ‘Dangerously Delicious Tour’. If you’re a fan, you know that Aziz loves food … and if you have his last album, you know he also loves walking with dinosaurs. These are limited in quantity, but will be arriving in the shop after the dates.

Flatstock 27

We’re excited to have a table at the upcoming Flatstock 27 at Bumbershoot Festival next weekend, Sept. 4-6th. It’s always a great hang with fellow poster peeps and an excuse to publicly drool over so much great art. Oh, and just to get this out of the way before it starts: No, we don’t have any Phish or Southern Culture On The Skids posters. Hope to see you all out there!

City With No Children

Here’s our new poster for Arcade Fire, a band that we haven’t been able to get enough of lately. I was inspired by the song ‘City With No Children’ from their new album, ‘The Suburbs‘. Available in the shop on September 27th. See it larger.

The Bonfire Sessions

Here’s a fun project we recently wrapped with the fine folks at Creature and JanSport. Catch the bus to see The Cave Singers – performing at an undisclosed location. A quick synopsis of the event:

‘This summer, JanSport presents the first installment of the Bonfire Sessions, a free concert series celebrating the epic memories that can only be made outdoors. Here’s how it works. The hidden location of the concert is kept secret until the day of the show. All August long, check in here at Unzipped , as well as Facebook and Twitter , to get clues about the band and where to hitch a ride on the 28th. We’re taking a mere two busloads of people, so you’ll want to stay on top of the bus stop spot. And get your best lining-up/dancing shoes on.’

The poster was designed in 2 sizes: 24″ x 36″ and 18″ x 24″. 8 colors, screen-printed.

Falling Down

Here’s our new poster for The National show at Marymoor Park on 9/11/10.

Thicker Than Water

Just finished this poster for Vampire Weekend… couldn’t help but go the literal route for this one. Just too fun. Vampire meets piranha- a match made in Heaven.

The XX Cometh

Here’s our new (and early) poster for The XX show at The Paramount in September.

Rowdy Boys Heavy Metal Club

It’s the Rowdy Boys Heavy Metal Club! These ruffians may look a little troubled, but they’re good kids… just don’t tell them you think Inside The Torn Apart is the best Napalm Death album. The brand new 16″ x 22″ Giclee print is available in the store now.

Spark!

We decided to bring 22 of our closest friends to Target HQ last week. Here’s a gander.

Pedal Punk

We were delighted when our friends at Poster Cabaret recently asked us to take part in their 2nd Bicycle Print Set. We had a lot of fun with the last series, so this time around was a no-brainer (and check out that lineup of artists!). Go fixies!

AIGA Minnesota Design Show 2010

We are extremely honored that the Minnesota chapter of the AIGA recently recognized all of our 2009 Target projects in their annual Design Show. See details here and here. Many thanks to our incredible A.D.’s over at the bullseye. More fun stuff to share coming soon …

Super cool ‘Thumb War’ gift card created by our buddy Christopher Lee.

Poster Cabaret

Just a reminder that Poster Cabaret carries a handful of our posters and limited prints, including many that we’re sold out of. They also have a few pieces left from the 2009 Sasquatch! Festival, including the limited edition black/metallic gold/glo-in-the-dark character series (we’re also sold out of these). We’ll be announcing some limited exclusive prints and color variants available only through Poster Cabaret very soon.

Conan’s Jacket

Our Conan O’Brien and My Morning Jacket posters have been added to the shop.

Old School

21 years after my first class with Mrs. George, my high school art teacher, I’m coming back to say hi. She was/is an amazing teacher and played a large role for me in pursuing art as a career. Because of that, I thought it would be fun to create a poster for the occasion. Looking forward to catching up after 17 years.

Rise And Shine

Wake up! Our new poster for My Morning Jacket at the upcoming Sasquatch! Music Festival will be available soon.

Legally Prohibited From Being Funny

We (like most of you) were on Team CoCo from the start. So when STG asked us if we’d like to create a poster for his upcoming “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television” tour stop in Spokane, we knew exactly what we wanted to do. We’ll have these available in a few weeks. In the meantime, follow Conan’s Taurus, monkey and other related items on Twitter.

The National

national_poster

Here’s a look at our poster for The National, who will be performing at this year’s Sasquatch! Festival. These guys are a personal favorite of ours here at the office, and we anxiously await their new album later this year. Poster available soon-ish!

Spring Poster Blowout Sale!

The sun is shining in Seattle and it appears that spring has come a bit early (if you’re local, you’re just as thankful as us). We also happen to have a ton of posters sitting in flat files that we’d like to send to you kind people. So, it occured to us that this would be a perfect time to slash prices (most posters $8-$10) and make room for some new art. We’ve been making posters for 8 years now and decided to put many in the ‘blowout bin’ until they are gone. Grab them now as this sale will only last a few weeks.

2010 Sasquatch! Music Festival

Well, today is the day. The lineup for the 2010 Sasquatch! Festival has been announced. As usual, the list of bands look amazing (Public Enemy, Massive Attack!). We also thought it would be a good time to show you the artwork. Summer is just around the corner …

Haiti Poster Project

haiti_poster

We were asked to contribute to a poster project benefitting the victims of Haiti’s catastrophic earthquake. We feel honored to help in any way possible. Here’s a look at our contribution, which will be available here in the near future.
