The Big Day

Today is a monumentous occasion in our house: First day of kindergarten. I whipped this up last night and hid it in my little girl’s lunchbox. I think the first day jitters are worse for parents. Either way, I’m a proud daddy. Update: Enough of you asked, so I decided to make it a smallĀ print.

Awesome…I sketch on my kids paper lunch sacks throughout the year.
So….did you ball like a baby when you left?

Aww, that is so awesome! They grow up pretty quick man, I still remember reading your blog posts on Asterik when she was coming & then when she arrived. Seems like only yesterday. I’m not quite at the kindergarten point with my daughter yet, but it is coming very quickly, very scary. Very cute sketch though, you’re a great pa bud :)

What a lucky little gal! We put little drawings in our kids’ lunchboxes @ 1/wk. Nothing as darling and wonderful as this, however!

There is a possibility that I may actually be your dad … Sorry to tell you in such an informal fashion.

I’m not a dad yet, but you’re giving fun ideas for the future. Great illustration.
